Dr. Sidney Edsall, MD, DABMA
My Approach
I’m an Integrative Psychiatrist, and I use the term “Integrative” with a couple of different meanings in mind.
First of all, I conceptualize the mental and physical health of my clients as interconnected and interdependent. And thus I consider the mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual health and wellbeing of each of my clients in relation to others and within our communities.
All of these factors are vital and essential elements integrated within whole-being health and holistic healing.
I also integrate Western medical practices with Traditional Chinese Medicine, utilizing medical acupuncture to access energy flow, combined with medications and somatic psychotherapy. I cultivate treatment plans using western medicine terminology infused with Buddhist and Daoist philosophy.
